My first flight to Mumbai was by Air-India, the ageing Indian Govt. owned airlines. Very cheap fares since Air-India is an International Flight. Air India sells Domestic Flight dirt cheap. Delhi-Mumbai at 3000 rupees or less. Even 2000 rupees at Times which is about 50 dollars. These are called night flights and usually leave the airport at ungodly hours. The departure will be between 10 pm and 8 am. Mostly you will get tickets for 2 am. But since it is cheap you will find many fellow travelers and tourists.
You will get the best discount if you fly by air india at night to Mumbai. Mumbai or Bombay is also called the land of Dreams. A destination of every one from india and the world. It is a good tourist destination also.
There are hundreds of flights each day to the Mumbai Airport at Santa Cruz and there is a new International airport also comming soon to handle the Huge traffic.
You can get the best bargian by visiting E-ticketing sites like
makemytrip or
yatra.
Good deals are always on the offer by the Fisrt private sector airlines Jet airways.
Jet airways also gives cheap tickets for flights to mumbai if you get their Check fares. You can even get a 50% discount if you atre lucky. By far Jet Airways is the best airlines operating out of India now. Though the air hostesses look stern and not very soft, they are very efficient. The new competitor to jet airways is Kingfishers with excellent service. Kingfisher airlines also offer competitive fares. You can fly to Mumbai by Kingfisher from various sectors like Kolkata, delhi etc. The air hostesses are warm and quite pretty in their red dress.
they have TV and everything., like an international airlines.
You can also Fly to Mumbai by various other airlines. Go Air, Indigo air, Spicejet India and Air Sahara. Air Sahara is a good airlines but poorly managed. They have the prettiest air hosttesses. Since they have become troubled, they don;t get many customers so you end up getting good deals on Air Sahara as well for flights to Mumbai.
There is also the cheap Air lines, or No frills airlines. Deccan Airlines, India first no frills airlines and Air deccan have flights to Mumbai from almost city and town. You can get real cheap tickets from Airdeccan for flight to Mumbai but it is not the best airlines. the service ios poor, but then at 30-50 dollar what do you expect.
You can get Air deccan tickets from reliance webworld. they issue e-tickets and you get cheao tickets.
